In the past 18 years, Kompania Leśna gathered an extensive experience in designing and producing protective guards for many types of tractors. We produced and shipped custom-made guards for dozens of tractor models. Some of our favourite projects include:
Protecting a Valtra N135 with forestry crane
We protected a Valtra N135 Active tractor with a Palms 7.86 crane and a Nisula 425H head, designed for thinning operations — both felling and forwarding. The tractor was fully forestry-equipped, featuring a winch, forestry tires, and the TwinTrac system, which allows the machine to be operated while facing the rear. The Nisula 425H head enables the felling and delimbing of trees with a diameter of up to 43 cm. An automatic front-axle locking system ensures operational stability. The felling head can be quickly swapped for a grapple, and the unit can be paired with a mulcher or wood chipper. Kompania Leśna installed a full tractor-armour on this Valtra N135, including skid-plates on the bottom of the tractor, cabin-cage and exhaust-pipe guards.
Skid-plates for CLAAS ARES 816
Kompania Leśna designed and produced the undercarriage and hood guarding for the CLAAS ARES 816 tractor. The skid-plates were designed and manufactured precisely according to the user’s specifications. The tractor was scanned at the client’s location. The guarding system was designed within the agreed scope, manufactured, and shipped for self-installation, which was carried out by the client. It offers maximum tractor protection while making optimal use of space — the guarding does not compromise ground clearance more than necessary and ensures access to all service points.
Green cab-cage for Fendt 939 Vario
Along with a protective cage around the cabin, painted green to match Fendt’s original colour, we installed full underbody protection for the tractor, consisting of 6 mm plates mounted on a subframe (rails). Cab and fender guards, including protective mesh for the rear windows and lights. Metal guard for the plastic fuel tank. Full hood protection with guide cables that safeguard the tractor’s windshield without obstructing visibility.
Safeguarding a classic: MTZ BELARUS
MTZ Belarus tractors are one of the most popular machines used for forestry work in eastern Europe. We produce full tractor guarding package for MTZ Belarus, which includes:
- underbody and side panel guarding
- fuel tank guards
- cab and fender protection bars
- rear and side window guards
- headlight and work light guards
- full hood guard with branch deflector cables to protect the windshield
- exhaust stack guards
The protective structure is powder-coated red, matching to the tractor’s color scheme (RAL palette). This particular tractor will operate with a Palms 14D forestry trailer and a Palms 7.86 forestry crane.

Access to all service points and hydraulic outlets is maintained. The hood guard does not restrict front loader operation.
Belly-pans for Valtra 191
Undercarriage protection for a tractor. The tractor was 3D-scanned on-site at the user’s location (minimizing transport costs and downtime). Our engineering department designed the protective structure, while the workshop manufactured and prepared all its components for installation.
Before shipment, each part is marked with a specific code corresponding to the installation instructions provided to the client — should they choose to perform the installation themselves, as was the case here.
Self-assembled guards for Valtra T175
A full underbody protection for the tractor, made of 6 mm sheet metal (comprising both flat and bent plates). Additionally, a full hood guard was included, featuring limb-risers: guide cables that allow branches to slide off. The protective components were manufactured by Kompania Leśna, then labeled, packed, and shipped to the customer. The customer installed the entire assembly independently, following the provided instructions.
Hood guard and skid-plates for Kubota M6-121
Full underbody and side protection for the tractor, as well as full hood protection. The underbody guard also includes vertical plates that shield the sides of the chassis. Metal guards have also been installed around the fuel and AdBlue tanks. The guards are easily removable, and all service points are accessible without having to take them off.
Undercarriage protection for CASE 125 MAXXUM
A full underbody guard for the tractor, including protection for the plastic fuel and AdBlue tanks, as well as guards for the axles and the front threepoint linkage. The Case Maxxum tractor was 3D-scanned in our workshop, allowing our engineers to determine the exact location of every service point and design a guard system perfectly tailored to this specific tractor model.
Valtra T203 protective structure
Self-installation by the user in their own workshop — naturally, with our instructions and remote support. This solution saves time and reduces downtime and installation costs. This project involved installing protective bars around the cab and fenders.
Protecting the chassis and valves in Valtra T234
This project involved underbody plating and wheel valve protection in a Valtra T234 tractor. We performed the installation in our workshop this time, though self-installation by the user is also an option. The plating does not compromise ground clearance any more than necessary and ensures access to all required service points without needing to remove the guards.
Cage for Zetor Forterra
Zetor Forterra CL 120 outfitted for the County Roads Authority. Equipment components:
- full hood guard, hinged for service access
- removable windshield guard/mesh screen
- mesh screening on the right side of the cab, including door protection (the door guard opens along with the door)
- mesh cage around the rear window, allowing work with the window open and visibility of the three-point hitch area
- exhaust stack guards and a protective frame around the cab roof
- left side of the cab without window guards
Kit was designed for self-assembly, which the future user conducted in their own workshop.
Bottom-cover for Valtra T191
A client who had ordered a trailer with a crane from us came up with a great idea while working nearby: he drove over in his Valtra so we could install underbody protection on the tractor right then and there. The full underbody protection package weighs 450 kg and features 12 mm thick mounting brackets, 6 mm thick underbody plating, and 3 mm thick vertical guards (tank covers). The entire assembly is powder-coated and includes an anti-corrosion primer. The logging equipement that this particular tractor is working with consists of a Palms 12U forwarding trailer and Palms 7.78 crane.
Window guards for McCormick X6
Since mounting it to the cab was not an option, this time we used suction cups bonded to the glass. The tractor will be operating in Wolin National Park.
